Review.

Today we did review. I didn't really mind. I know that if I want to get better, I have to practice, so there's no use complaining about it. I want to be able to do these things well. I don't want to be a mediocre hairdresser; I want to be a great one. And, of course, as the saying goes, "practice makes perfect!" So I practice. The day wasn't particularly exciting though.

Today I guess I did some reviewing besides what we've learned in school. Reviewing of my principles, my faith, my beliefs. Just kind of examining myself. Not in a compromising way, just a reinforcing sort of review. Remembering what it is that I believe, and why. Why I do what I do, and don't do what I don't do. I have reasons for being the way that I am, for being different, and sometimes it's good to call them to mind again, so that I don't lose sight of what I'm working towards. It was good for me, I think. I love being able to have time to just contemplate what the Lord has done for me, and how much He loves me, and how much I love Him in return.  Rolling perms is surprisingly relaxing when you can just tune out all of the gossip and focus on Jesus. :)

I guess it was a pretty good day. :)

Your Love is a Song.

I hear you breathing in.
Another day begins.
The stars are falling out.
My dreams are fading now, fading out.

I've been keeping my eyes wide open.
I've been keeping my eyes wide open.

Oh, your love is a symphony.
All around me, running through me.
Oh, your love is a melody.
Underneath me, running to me.
Oh, your love is a song.

The dawn is fire bright against the city lights.
The clouds are glowing now.
The moon is blacking out, is blacking out.

So I've been keeping my mind wide open.
I've been keeping my mind wide open, yeah.

Oh, your love is a symphony.
All around me, running to me.
Oh, your love is a melody.
Underneath me, and into me.

Oh, your love is a song.
Your love is a song.
Oh, your love is a song.
Your love is strong.

With my eyes wide open.
I've got my eyes wide open.
I've been keeping my hopes unbroken.
Yeah, yeah.

Oh, your love is a symphony.
All around me, running through me.
Oh, your love is a melody.
Underneath me, running to me.

Your love is a song.
Yeah, yeah.
Your love is my remedy.
Oh, your love is a song.

Event For the Day.

Exciting/random/awkward event for the day :

1 : Being pulled onstage by Pastor Mark in the middle of worship tonight, to compete in a jumping contest during "Jump, Shout and Sing," while wearing a dress and cowgirl boots. I won, only because my class cheers loudly, and Pastor Mark decided that since I was at such an unfair height disadvantage, that I should win because I had jumped as high as anyone my height could possibly have jumped. :)

Beach II!

I shall describe my trip to the beach shortly and explicitly by compiling a list of the most exciting, interesting, odd, random, and/or awkward things which happened to me while I was there. I have discovered that these sorts of lists tend to help me get the fun bits into my stories, and leave the boring bits out, while usually being rather funny.

So then, here we are.

Exciting/interesting/odd/random/awkward events for the day :

1 : Once again, getting accidentally horribly sunburned on (surprise!) only one side of my face. The side that's bound to get skin cancer one day from being sunburnt so severely.

2 : Making a, uhhh... "vintage" sandcastle at the beach. Vintage because it looked... old. As in like... stepped on, sort of. I guess I need to improve my sandcastle skills. I should take a sandcastle-building-class so I can become the best sand-castle-builder in the world. That might be an even more profitable profession than cosmetology!

3 : Getting honked at by two different truck drivers in two different semis while I was walking the dog on the side of the road in the middle of no-where. Can we say, awkwaaaard. Yeah. I think we can. Because it was. Haha! I almost started laughing.

Yes, today was quite an exciting/interesting/odd/random/awkward day. But it was fun! :)

Beach!

<>

Friday = Awesome.

Today is Friday, as you might know. Actually, that's a lie, yesterday was Friday. But since I haven't slept yet, it still seems like Friday.

Yesterday was a pretty great Friday. I slept 35 minutes past my alarm, still got to school on time, was quite wide awake and accomplished a lot while at school, including touching up my fingernails. Which was just an added bonus.

After school I went to Shelbie's and chilled with her, Micah, Shyloh, Ashley, Shaylah and Paige. Good times. Shyloh made me an adorable bow, and Shelbie, Micah and I watched the first bit of the Sound of Music.

Tomorrow I'll post pictures of the beach. :)

Goodnight, loves.

Incoherent.

I think this is week six. Or seven, maybe? I'm not sure. I lose track. I'm so exhausted lately, it's not even funny. I find myself zoning when I'm talking to people, and I feel like half the time I'm not even coherent when I am awake, haha. The get-up-early-every-single-stinking-day part of school is pretty much lame. A lot lame.

We're doing facials. Today I had two : a plain facial and a dermalight facial. I fell asleep during both of them. A sure sign of compound exhaustion, in my humble opinion. Because I don't like people touching my face, so a facial is not really at all relaxing to me. So if I can fall asleep during one, I'm just guessing, but I'd say I must be pretty dang tired.

Speaking of which, it's bedtime.

I can't wait for the beach! :)

More to follow at a later date.

Summertime. :)
