BedTime

This is now, and always will be, our masterpiece. Nothing we have made since has surpassed the genius, and time, and effort, and sound-effects that went into this film...

It's called BedTime.............................enjoy!

It was one of the first movies us cousins made together...it was when Hayden first got his video camera and was always psyched about using it...what happened??? Anyway, us girls came over for something, Anne and Hayden already had the death scene done, and asked us to help them finish the movie. So we made it up till 'tomorrow'...the second half with Bailey in it was made at another time. I think it was like right after Ainsley was born that we made this, I was 10 or 11. Quite funny to watch though. I probably should be embarrassed, but... Yeah, it's especially funny for me watching it cuz in a couple scenes I can remember, "that's where Paige forgot her lines," or in the end when I was shrieking, I had no idea what to do...so I jumped around screaming...very proffesional, I know. And in parts, you hear a couple people whisper a line, then the person who's line it is finally catches on and says it out loud...very funny. Also we had not yet learned that you are NEVER EVER to look into the camera, so we did it intentionally several times...whoops! Anyways...I've watched it several times in the past 2 days and it's just so funny so I decided to post it...

If my movies bother you, sorry...I just love them though!!!

Until tomorrow...

Self-Assured???

It was so cute, yesterday, Lainee wore a really cute little dress, and one of the girls, I think it was Bailey, commented that she thought Laine looked really cute. Lainee came back with, "Yeah, I think so too." Wow... someone thinks highly of herself... =)

A Snowboarding Trip and an Escapade

Sooooo...today we went snowboarding at Dodge. It was amazingly fun. I am also amazingly sore right now. Lol...that was a joke. It's not really amazing that I'm sore. It hurts. Not to complain though because I really had a great day.

We met up with the lovely Ney family in Oakdale. We drove up together and got to Dodge at around 7-7:30-ish. We, after a prolonged period of sitting around waiting for our lift tickets and rentals and such to be configurated, got out on the slopes, well...not until our lesson at 10. So we had the lesson (originally Shelbie, Paige, Shayden and Shannen were all in the same lesson with me, but in the end, we were tragically separated--I in the original lesson with 2 little girls I didn't know, and all the others transfered to a beginner lesson...lame...anyway,). And after the lesson, we all had lunch together, taking up a massive corner of the lodge. We kinda sat around and talked a bit before hitting the slopes again. Shyloh, Shelbie and I were originally together, but Shyloh and I kinda lost Shelbie (well, she wasn't lost, just behind us)...and after the 2 of us going up and down the bunny hills a couple times the guy running the lift started telling us we should take a bigger lift. He told us which one to take, chair 2, and after a few more runs, we caught up with my daddy, let him know what we wanted to do, and headed over there. We wanted to board over, as it was a short, easy ride, but ended up significantly lacking in the momentum necessary to get where we were going, considering the flat terrain...in short, after a couple minutes of scooting and getting nowhere, we gave up, took off our boards and hiked. That said, once we got to the lift, we strapped in and looked at the lift, becoming more intimidated and nervous by the minute at the speed at which the lift was ascending the mountain. But we gathered our courage, decided we could, in fact, get down this mountain, and got on the lift, which was a 3-seater and really was going pretty fast. Well...

About halfway up, we looked down to see a much smaller chair, going much slower down a hill much less steep than ours, and to note with ever growing despair the fact that the chair was clearly labeled "Chair 2". Oh nooo!!!! We had gotten on the wrong lift!!! We looked up to see that in fact, painted on the lift we were on was "Chair 3". What had we done??? We looked at the mountain ahead of us and immediately I think both of us began shrieking and crying out to God to spare us and allow us to reach the bottom alive. (Truth--we really did do this--we were genuinely terrified) The mountain we were headed towards was the Face, and we were going to have to try to go down it. Ahhh!!! We, after several moments of agonizing deliberation, decided that we would rather fall on our face, roll down the hill head over heels and die at the bottom in the midst of the glory that we had gone down, than suffer the humiliation of not getting off the lift and riding all the way back to the beginning to get off there. With that mindset, we began seriously to discuss funeral plans, if one of us happened to survive the other. (no joke, we did) We prayed fervently all the way up the lift, and we were wondering how soft the snow was, if maybe we would better survive a jump off the lift than to go down the slope. (It was pretty bad.) When we got within sight of the guy running the lift at the top, we began frantically motioning for him to stop it, to let us off without falling head over heels down the little off-ramp thingy. He just laughed at us, and DID NOT stop the chair. When we finally got off, we realized that the Face was not the only path we could take, there were, in fact, several options. Neither of us knowing anything about anything concerning the path we had chosen, only knowing that each of our options were labeled "more difficult" excepting one black diamond path and a double black diamond path, both of which we were obviously avoiding at all costs, we asked the guy running the booth which path to take, and he told us, while laughing and making fun of us. Our pride being sufficiently wounded for one afternoon, we asked a guy sitting next to the slopes for the extra information we needed to get back where we wanted to be. After calling Shyloh's parents and leaving a pathetic voicemail, we set out, nervously, but determinedly. We hiked probably 1/5 of the way, that's just approximating, but in some flat parts we didn't have enough momentum (too much falling and having to sit down because our toes were killing us) so we had to walk. We finally made it out, after several small incidents, including escaping from a forbidding resting spot closed in between some trees and a wall of rocks and snow (scary!). We yelled and hoorayed a little bit at the end because we really didn't think we were ever going to get out. (Actually, we did Dory's "we did it" dance at the bottom of the hill) It was almost fun, and I think both of us will laugh about it later, but it was really scary, actually when we got off the lift I was actually pale...and if you know me you know that I never, ever pale, I turn red. Shyloh said she'd never seen me that white before ever, I guess we were both just terrified.

Later my daddy took us on some harder stuff, actually branching off the same terrifying lift (not nearly so terrifying with Dad, and since we'd been on it before) and it was a lot of fun. We did a really great run right at the end, and we both liked it so much that we want to do that and a couple other harder runs next time we go. Altogether it was a very fun day, with only that one little...uh, escapade...lol, =) Anyways, that was my day.......so, yeah, and I have to get up early for ladies' study in the morning, and my legs are killing me and I'm exhausted so I'm going to go to sleep now...

Good night...♥

Today...

Well, today we had the Oceans of Emotions conference at church. It was really good. I would totally recommend listening to it if you didn't go (as long as you're a girl; wait, do any guys actually get on here? I don't think so...well, anyway, I think all you guys that read this went 'cept you Bec, so...Becca, listen to it, ok?...........yeah, that was...uh, random at best =]....oh well) In any case, it was my first time getting to go, and it was amazing!!! So that was my morning...when I got home this afternoon I read Ruby Rest. I just recently persuaded my mamma to let me read it (after calling Anne and getting verification from her and Auntie). She (Mamma) was going to read it first, but she's had Annie's copy for...something like, 2 years, maybe? Idk, but a long time, and she hasn't read it yet. I just read it in 2 days. It was super good. I might have to read it again...it would make more sense...I mean, I understood it, but it's the sort of book where if you read it again you would be like 'oh, yeah...I get it now' type thing...I'm just rambling now...It was a good book though. You should read it.
Other than that............I don't think I have anything else to say. SO...yeah, I'll be done now.

Above Rubies

"Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, but a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised."

Proverbs 31:30 NKJV

Ummm...my weekend

"The 4 Girls in the Band"
I know what you're thinking..."those girls are so original," right? =)
"Power Quad" in action
Originally, Wyat wanted them to be "Power Trio" but Hayden convinced him that it should be "Power Quad" since there were four of them, lol.
Um, I don't remember their band name...did they have one?
Daddy and Uncle Dave "rockin'"
Well, Friday was pretty much nothing less than amazing. Becca beat me to it, but I have pics and she doesn't, so maybe everyone won't be bored with reading the same thing over again, lol. =) So Paige and I got to Becca's around 2ish, and everyone was playing Rock Band (obviously!). We hopped right in. After a little bit, Annie, Darilyn, Becca and I stepped out and hid in the playroom to chat. Annie and Darilyn plinked around on the piano, and I picked up Becca's guitar. Anne and Darilyn started singing along, and I think Becca was slightly irritated with me for playing the guitar because she wanted to role play, and because the three of us were all singing, everyone was kinda ignoring her. lol...what can I say? I can never resist a guitar, if it's just sitting there. Well......

For those of you who know no French, it's "Music is my passion" Mace made it on Photoshop, isn't she amazing? And her picture is amazing too. (Love ya Mace =] )
So anyway...after that, we wanted to go outside, so we raced out to the swings. There being only two swings, Becca having a head start b-cuz she already had her shoes on, and me being the fastest (sorry Bec, I just had to do that =] ), we got the swings. Darilyn and Anne followed. Becca had the high swing cuz her legs are longer ('sides, she took it first) so my swing was about a foot off the ground. After we had swung for a minute, we all wanted ice cream, so Annie and Darilyn took off running, and I jumped off the swing, intending to follow. Well, whether my hand got caught in the rope (my version) or I tripped over my sandals (Annie's version), I fell (knowing me, are you surprised?) and skidded about a foot in the gravel on my hands and knees. Needless to say, my hands, knees and one elbow were quite scraped up. I have quite the battle wound on my right hand (thank goodness, I can still write and play guitar, yay me!). It looks quite interesting, and will make a very nice scar when it's healed. I'm too lazy to take a picture, so you'll have to look when you see me in person. So, after I changed my shirt, (mine was white and got dirt all over it,) we took the Volvo and went to Becca's grandma's house to get ice cream. On the way there, we listened to Phantom of the Opera. I can almost sing the whole thing now, yay! 'Course, I can't hit all the notes, but almost...well, sort of...well, actually, to be quite frank, I don't come anywhere near hitting the notes. But it's fun to try! On the way home, we listened to Bohemian Rhapsody...of course! We sat in the car to finish the song (Annie, Becca and I couldn't bear to leave without hitting the high note) and ended up finishing our ice cream in the car while listening to various music. After that we went in Becca's room and turned on Leeland and Anne showed us the handmotions. Very fun. lol. Olivia thought we were hilarious, 'specially when we made her play the crippled man in "Tears of the Saints". Later, we ran to Save Mart, didn't buy Mountain Dew (boohoo :(...), but bought Coke and chips and Oreos, and had crepes, and my family came over, along with Anne's parents, and Chris. We eventually decided to have a Battle of the Bands. We divided into 3 bands. The 3 dads and Aunt Jenny in one, Chris, Hayden, Wyat and Paige in another, and the last one was Anne, Becca, Darilyn, and me. Us girls were working on our "moves" for "stage presence", when Uncle Jeremy walked out of the bathroom in a tank top and ripped up jeans with a blue beard, and at that point, we decided that we couldn't be outdone, so knowing us, we went all out with costumes. My hair was HUGE. Can you tell in the pictures? And the other girls had so much makeup on. Black eyeshadow makes people look very scary sometimes. But it was so much fun. We didn't win...but it was fun. And we did rock pretty hard. (lol, jk.) I was on my knees singing at one point. (It was very, very planned, in case you were wondering. I'm not random and intelligent enough to think of it by myself in the middle of a song.) So fun.
Soooo, anyway. Oh, yesterday, I didn't get to go to morning service cuz the girls were sick, but I went to evening service and we had a PARTY!!!!! YAY!!!!!! I picked up Costco cupcakes, and punch, and we watched Little Joe (Veggie Tales is bomb, and that one is the best one ever!!!!!!!!!! The Bellybutton Song is amazing!!!!!) The kids were like hypermaniacs. IS that a word? I don't think so, but that's what they were. So anyway, that was fun though. Really the kids didn't deserve a party at all, it was more for mine and Esther's benefit than theirs, we just wanted a party. And Felt Theater was like 1/2 an hour long, but it was SOOOO funny. So yeah...
Today we went to Bass Pro in Manteca. It was fun sort of, but I was mostly bored. We spent most of the day there. We had Chicken Barn on the way home. I played my guitar a bit earlier, we just had shrimp 'n' hotroot soup for dinner. (Anne: It was good but my mamma just doesn't know how to make it spicy enough. We must remedy this.) So...yeah that's been the past few days.
Tomorrow I have an orthodontist appt. Hopefully I can get a time out of him as to when I get them off. Soon, I hope...Also Shelbie and I are going to the mall for a deaf community social event for our ASL class. It's going to be interesting, b-cuz niether of us have ever talked to like a real deaf person. Only to each other. And we can stop and translate in English whenever we need to. And we honestly haven't had that many random conversations in sign. So we'll have to practice as much as we can tomorrow. Yikes! At least our teacher will be there, otherwise we would be completely lost. It'll be an experience, though, that's for sure. So I'll post on how that goes later...and that's all for now. =)

An Ainsley Funny AND a Paige Funny

Today, it was hilarious, my dad cut Ainsley's banana in half and told her she could peel it and then eat it. She goes, 'Yeah, or you can just sqeeze the bottom and it all comes out the top!' Hahaha, so funny!

Also, a couple weeks ago (Paige will probably be mad for me telling this) but her knee was bothering her, and she goes, 'So, I think I have a slightly rotated tibia.' Where did that come from??? It was funny though, and I took the opportunity to make fun of her for extended periods of time. ;D

That's all for now.

3 words. i. am. bored.

So I have nothing to do. Last night we were supposed to get to play rock band @ Becca's but after a series of unfortunate events, that plan fell through, and today I am left with nothing to do. Don't you just hate those weekends when you have nothing to do? Especially since last weekend was so busy. Which makes this boring weekend seem doubly lame. I really want to get a Facebook account. I'm trying to talk my parents into it, we'll see what happens. That's all...
