Ummmmm

Well, the Best boys are FINALLY here!!!!!!!!! I am so totally stoked!!!!!! We got to go over to Annie's on Monday afternoon, and see them (I was super eXcItEd to see Anne and Hayden too since I haven't [actually hadn't] seen them for a couple weeks). Jared is really tall by the way. Like, he's grown 2 or 3 more inches since we were in Idaho...
And, so anyway, Monday we cruised over there to see everyone. We played DDR a little bit (I won the tournament, by the way...oh yeah, I was incredibly proud of myself). Well, ultimately our trip resulted in David and Eric going home with my mom, and me staying at Annie's for the night. Fun, fun, fun.
So around 4:15, probably, Annie, Chris, Mandy, Hayden, Jared and I all went to go see Bedtime Stories. (Yes! Now I don't have to say that the last movie I saw in the theatre was HSM3!!!!!!!!!) It was pretty funny. Afterwards, we went back to Annie's and had dinner, and Annie and I worked on Fingertips. We left Hayden and Jared happily playing video games at aroud 10, to go chat in Annie's room. (Very nice chat, BTW) We shut the lights out at like 11, but stayed up for quite a while after that. We went to bed at around 12, which was surprisingly early for us. We woke up at like 10ish but didn't get out of bed till prob'ly almost 10:30. We had breakfast and showered and stuff, and were planning to go to Jamba Juice and Target etc, but my mamma was coming to pick me up, so our lovely plan of running around town for the day was ruined. Boo hoo :( But anyway, after I got home, I don't think I really did anything much...
Tonight we get to go bring in the new year with the lovely Ney family (and Jeff, I'm sure). I'm so eXcItEd!!!!!! It should be fun. I've been cooking all sorts of good things today, to take over there for snacks, desserts, etc. It will be a lot of fun to get to hang out with them. This will be the first time that we've celebrated New Year's with someone other than just ourselves, or family, so it will be fun. (I need a word other than fun...) Anyway, I think I'll go play guitar now. ♥

Fingertips...

This is the "Fingertips" video that I made with my cousins on Thanksgiving. I'm at Anne's right now and we just finished it a little bit ago (we technically finished it on Thanksgiving, but it got erased somehow). So in case you wanted to see it...here it is. Tomorrow when I'm home I'll post about my day...

♥ Christmas 2008 ♥

Soooo, I've enjoyed reading about everyone else's Christmas. Now I guess it's about time I posted about mine. Well, on Sunday before Christmas we had our yearly Christmas with my mom's side of the family. We went to lunch at a small catering place in Turlock, called Netto's. The food was SOOOOOOO good. Afterwards we all went to our house, for dessert and our annual gift exchange. This year, we branched off a bit, and had a gift exchange for the adults, as well as the kids. It was a lot of fun.
Monday and Tuesday were full of last minute Christmas shopping and gift wrapping. I'm pretty sure everything was under the tree by Wednesday. On Wednesday, we opened presents around 1 o'clock. (We always do presents on Christmas Eve.) I got several really cute articles of clothing (including a SUPER cute coat), a pair of shoes, and The Man in the Iron Mask by Alexandre Dumas. We had our "big" traditional Christmas Eve dinner, which was pretty amazing. Later in the evening, we went to my mom's aunt's house for dessert, and hung out with my mom's family again.
On Christmas morning, we opened our stockings, which was fun. We cleaned a lot, and hung out. Around 5, we had some family over. That was fun. The girls (Paige, Kaitlyn, Becca, me and Kristine) all hung out in my room. Becca and I attempted some Christmas songs with our guitars, but ended dissatisfied. I now strongly believe that unless you are really good, Christmas songs sung in groups are much better sung a capella. :) Afterwards, we decided to make a movie, so we went downstairs to eat cheesecake and wait for "an epiffany...no, a plethora of epiffanies" (that's for you, Becca ;) ♥ Man, we are SO homeschooled...I love it!). Finally we decided on a depressing movie. It turned out to be quite morbid and incredibly disturbing, but it was absolutely hilarious to make. And I highly doubt you will ever see me so serious again! ;) I had to laugh about every other picture because it was so funny, trying to be depressed-looking. If you're like me, you'll be curious about our movie now, so here it is...

See, I told you it was morbid and disturbing. Anyway, it was a lot of fun to make. And the shoes are Becca's and mine. Mine are the plaid ones with the bows. Aren't they cute???? I got them for Christmas. I love them!!!! Anyways...that's what I've been up to lately. Tonight I'm going to Becca's house, cuz our dad's have a fight to watch on TV. That will be fun. I can't wait for tomorrow, 1, because I get to wear my new coat, and t-shirt. And, 2, because we get to go to Granny's for presents after church. I'm so excited! Gotta run...

Alright

There's so much on my mind lately
I can't make out my own thoughts anymore
I don't know where one begins and the other one ends
I wish that I could push a button and turn it all off just for a little while
Long enough to take a breath and then I know

It'll be okay
It'll be alright
It'll be okay hey yeah
It'll be alright
It'll be okay

There's so much that needs done lately
I can't make out what's important anymore
I don't know where my needs begin and someone else's ends
I don't want to let anybody down cuz I feel like I'm falling down when I do
But for now could someone else please volunteer to say

It'll be okay
It'll be alright
It'll be okay hey yeah
It'll be alright
It'll be okay

Life is hard for everyone so let's blow it all off just for a little while
Let's take a break
It'll still be there when we get back
I always try to solve all my problems by working real hard
Going just another mile
But every now and then I think we should let it go and say

It'll be okay
It'll be alright
It'll be okay hey yeah
It'll be alright
It'll be okay

This is my last verse and it's for everyone feeling not so great today
We don't know what's coming just around the bend
It's always hard to believe in your own life
Easier to find belief for a friend
I'll hope for you
You for me
And together we can say

It'll be okay
It'll be alright
It'll be okay hey yeah
It'll be alright
It'll be okay

Wow, I love that song! My life is sooooo crazy right now. I can't wait for Christmas though! For some reason, it's not been as crazy, as far as preparation, for Christmas this year, as it usually is. I mean, besides the fact that I just finished my Christmas shopping yesterday, but I wasn't like stressed about it or anything. I don't know, I guess my mind's on other things, other than presents. I've really been trying to keep my focus on Jesus. Our week has gotten a little mixed up...usually on Christmas morning, we go to my Granny's. This year, she's sick, so we'll be home. I still don't know what we're doing tomorrow. We might go to service, or to my aunt's, I really don't know. Anyway, I'm looking forward to it though!
Oh, and on Thursday night, James loaned me "The Dark Knight". My dad said he would watch it with me tonight, and I am so eXcItEd!!!!!! I can't wait. Although, James and Hayden have told me so much about how good it is, I'm expecting a pretty stinkin' amazing movie, so it had better be good...I can't wait!!!!!

Yayyy!

Guess who's a 2nd degree recommended black belt???? Me!!!!!! Yayyy! My test was last night. It went really well. I had to do several of my patterns, spar 3 times and I broke 6 boards (2 at a time, not all at once, of course). And I was sooooo excited, because when I was done sparring, my hair wasn't all sweaty and crazy like it usually is. (I'm so vain...I know. But Anne, you know what I mean.) And my face didn't turn purple either. Yay! So yeah, I just wanted to let y'all know that. I don't have any pics yet, but when I get them, I'll post a few, if I don't look too wierd in them.

CHRISTmastime is AMAZING!!!!!!!!!

I am so stoked and totally ready for CHRISTmas!!!!!!! Sunday morning we went to church and had a really great bible study. It was just Mamma and the girls and me, and Fish, cuz Daddy was tired so he had to stay home (I imagine that after a week or so of getting up at 2:30 for 5 days, and then having to get up at 6:30 on Sunday catches up to you eventually, because every few weeks or so, Daddy has to stay home of a Sunday and sleep in-I can't say I blame him). Anyway, it being Mum, and not Dad that was driving, we stayed late-ish (yay!) so I got to hang out a bit after. Micah, Maci and I kinda roamed around. It was fun.
After church, Mum and I ventured into the cold to go to the grocery store. Once we got home we set to work making all kinds of things for the girl's teachers. Mamma and Bailey, I think, made a couple pies, and I made some fudge and some winter bark. (Both of which turned out beautifully, by the way.) Then we packed fudge and winter bark into boxes for the girls teachers, and packed everything into the car to head to church again. It was pretty interesting, getting into church, since we were trying to carry all the boxes of candy on a tray, plus all our stuff, and I was carrying my Jones and a can of whipped cream. We (Paige and I) delivered the pies and whipped cream to the breakroom, and ran (as fast as we could, since my Converse and Paige's Ugg boots are actually extremely slippery on the supposedly "no-slip" stairs at church) to the refuge of my 3rd grade classroom. Class was good. Afterwards, I ended up hanging out with a few friends until my mamma had to come and get me (oops...). It was fun.
I just have to say, I love baking for christmas!!!!!!!!!!!!! Making fudge and winter bark was so much fun!!!! It was soooooo easy too! Tomorrow maybe I'll post the recipes. I know them but there's a couple things I'm not sure of and I don't want to post the wrong thing, so I'll just wait and post them later.

My Lame-ish/Good Week

So, I know I haven't posted since like 2 or 3 Saturdays ago (Becca has kept me all too well informed on how horrible and lame of a blogger I am.) So today I'm posting.

So some of you maybe already know...one of our doggies, Bullet, died on Monday morning. It was really sad. It all happened so fast, just like he lost so much weight and then in his sleep he just died. It was really hard. I was a little more prepared than the girls I think because I woke up at 7 on Monday when my alarm went off and my mom told me to go back to bed, (and like, she never EVER does that) so I kinda knew, but I was too tired at the time to really get upset or anything. I didn't cry like at all, so everyone said I was heartless and didn't care, but I did, I just didn't cry. I'm like that sometimes, where like I'll cry over like little tiny things and then bigger things I just walk around and don't talk for like days. (I know, I'm a wierdy).

So, any way, yeah, that was the "sad and sober part" of my week (that's from Rose in Bloom...it's a Louisa May Alcott book). Tuesday I did homework and was bored and mopey.

Wednesday was good...Fish was sick, so Mamma dropped Paige and me off at Ladies' study so we wouldn't have to miss the last week before Christmas. It was good. James, Mandy and I had a very gratifying discussion. This is it: Ok, so our master plan was to freeze Chris' car keys in a bucket of water right next to his car once it got to a technically "freezing" temperature, so that he would have to dig them out of the ice with an ice pick. Amazing plan, right? Yeah, I know. But James just had to find little holes in our amazing plan, so gradually we had to become more specific so he couldn't ruin mine and Mandy's plan. So in the end, our master plan ended up being this: taking a large metal bucket full of water, hanging Chris's keys from a string (I believe we decided that the string would be suspended from his side-rear-view mirror, in the middle of the bucket, letting it freeze with the keys in the center and then cutting the string. a large metal bucket so that it won't fit in the microwave and if it did the metal bucket would catch on fire, (or plastic so it would melt) and the key suspended in the center so they wouldn't be able to dump it out or cut off the bottom and get to the keys easily. Isn't it the most wonderful fool-proof plan ever in the world? I thought so. Anyway, enough about that. After ladies' study we went to taco bell for lunch with my auntie Bev and Wyat, and Annie and Tacy. After slight complications involving Auntie Bev's keys getting locked in her car, we continued on to Annie's house, where Paige happily played video games, and Anne and I tryed to learn a duet (to no avail). We went to Wednesday night afterwards. Not much to say about that, but it was good.

Thursday we were gone all day, what with guitar, Taekwondo, and ASL classes. Grandma toted Paige and I around, cuz Fish was still sick. Thursday night we walked Christmas tree lane with Becca's family and Auntie Bev.

These are a couple pics that Paige, Becca and I took while walking along. I like the first one the best. (We actually took it last, but I put it first) Anyway...yeah that was Thursday.

Friday was so much fun!!!! I had Annie's white elephant party, it was so much fun. I took an airsoft target with Miley Cyrus's picture stuck in it. It was funny. All of the guys laughed at it and thought it was funny but they didn't want to steal it. Hahaha! I wouldn't either. I think Rachel ended up with it. (Oh, and I took home the best gift in the house: 4 berry lemonade Jones sodas!!!! woot woot!)

Saturday I had a servant's open house at the church. We took Danae with us. The 3 of us (Paige, me, Danae) were there really early, and then after lunch Paige left with a friend so Danae and I just talked a lot. Then Will was there for a little bit so we talked with him a bit, and then Tawnee got there and we went with them to Libby's house for a white elephant/cookie decorating party. It was fun. We played marbles and go fish and I got a broken guitar string as a white elephant gift. Pretty funny! Ahh, good times, good times...

Oh, and I'm so excited so I have to say it: at Libby's white elephant there were a few extra gifts so I got 2 pairs of Christmas light earrings that Libby made. Well, I was bummed because I couldn't wear them cuz I'm allergic to nickel (a cheap metal) and have to wear only gold earrings. Well, my dad suggested that I take the light charms off the other earrings and put them on mine and it worked!!! I am so excited! My dad doesn't usually let me wear different earrings, and I've never had dangly ones before, so I'm like totally stoked! I wore them to church tonight and was so excited! Anyway, I'll stop rambling and go to bed cuz I have to perform my ASL song tomorrow for my final grade for the semester (pray for me!!!!). Now I'm going to bed. Night! :)

You Know You're Homeschooled If...

Yeah, so I was just going through my emails and I thought this one was really funny so I decided to post it.
You Know You're Homeschooled If:

1. The line "You've got the right one baby!" doesn't remind you of a Pepsi commercial, but of The Buttercream Gang.

2. You know what The Buttercream Gang is.

3. You use abnormally long words in everyday conversation.

4. When people say AP, you have no idea what they're talking about.

5. You learned the preamble from School House Rock.

6. Your mom makes you cook dinner and calls it "Home Ec".

7. You've never had a 'sick day' in school.

8. Your mother has ever worn a jumper and clogs.

9. Jumping on the trampoline, or kicking the soccerball is P.E.

10. You are reading this and know exactly what I am talking about.
I can totally relate...anyone else??? Although I've only seen The Buttercream Gang like once, and my mom hasn't worn a jumper and clogs since I was 7. Also, another thing I've found, is that homeschoolers (including, I must admit, me) much too frequently use the excuse, "I was learned at home...", like we're not way, way smarter than public schooled kids already!!!! :-]
