Thanksgiving 08

Well, for thanksgiving we went to my uncle Dave and aunt Laurie's. It was fun. There was soooooo much food there, it was amazing! All of the older girls hung out in Anne's room listening to Phantom of the Opera music and They Might be Giants and Bohemian Rhapsody. Well, when we came to "Fingertips" by They Might be Giants, we decided that we had to do a music video.
*A Brief Explanation~if you've never heard Fingertips before then you likely won't have a clue why we "had" to do a music video. The song is really spontaneous and makes little sense, and sings like one verse of a really random line (i.e. aren't you the guy who hit me in the eye...yeah, that is in the song) and then breaks off and switches to another random line (i.e. please pass the milk), so it's really fun to act out and take pics. Anyway, moving on.

We had to stop in the middle for lunch, which was really good, and then we hung out and talked for a bit and then finished our video. Then Anne and I spent the rest of the day editing it and putting it to the music (actually, Anne edited it and I sat there (most likely in the way) and gave my opinion ;0). It was pretty fun. When we finished it, we took the laptop into the dining room and showed the video to all the girls (we had to play it several times before everyone had seen it), and then everyone was leaving and so we packed up all our stuff and left and went home and watched Spiderman, which was ok, I guess. But I liked Batman better. And in case you were wondering, Superman is lame too. In my opinion. And I can't wait to see the Dark Knight because it comes out on DVD on Tuesday and my daddy said we could watch it!!!!!! And we borrowed Sense and Sensibility (the old one and the new one) and Persuasion from Anne and I can't wait to watch those either. And my shoulder hurts because my dad and uncle are putting baseboard in the downstairs right now, so all the chairs are upstairs and the computer is in the middle of the room and I am sitting trying to type in a recliner and recliners are evil chairs for typing in, so I'm going to stop because my shoulder hurts. And....yeah.

I've Decided

I have officially decided that I will not wait for Becca to tell me she wants Alvin and the Chipmunks (oh, because I know she will, won't you Becca?)...which doesn't mean I don't want your comments (by all means, post them anyway), but I'm going to put the playlist up now instead of waiting because it will give me something to do. lol!

MUSIC!!!

Hey, a request for suggestions of good Christian bands...I'm looking for more music, and I've run out of names...
thanks!
love,
Caitie

Fork Necklace and Wienerschnitzel

Well, I haven't posted in a while because I've had a lot of homework and other random stuff like that. I probably should be doing homework now too, but (obviously), I'm not.

On Saturday we went to the Hughson crafts fair. Becca and I had wanted to get together on that weekend, but since we were going to the fair, we just took Becca with us. My mom wasn't super impressed with the fair this year, but because Becca was there, I had a lot of fun, plus there were ever so many jewelry stands, and even though I don't wear much jewelry, I love looking at it! Also we found a couple really cool vintage signs and things and discovered that our taste in decor is pretty similar. We found one stand in particular that had really cool jewelry. All the necklaces had either forks or spoons or silverware handles on them. Some of the handles were painted and they were really pretty, although too big to wear. The bracelets were made out of silverware handles, and all the rings were made out of old clip on earrings. I got a necklace with a fork on it, and Becca's was a spoon with a bird painted on it. They're really cool. Here's a pic of mine, and there's a pic of Becca's on her blog...check it out! We decided that if we were falsely accused and arrested, that we could dig out of prison together with our necklaces. Or if we were on a ship and were wrecked on a deserted island, that we would still be able to eat like civilized people (if we could find food to eat in the first place :0).

We had pretzels for lunch and took a couple pictures, and then we walked around some more. It was a lot of fun.

Umm, oh on Sunday, Anne was gone (I didn't know til Saturday...thanks a lot for telling me Annie!) so I had to teach the lesson. I had nothing prepared (see previous note), so I had to read the lesson while Esther played dodgeball with the kids. I didn't even know Esther was coming, though, I thought it was just going to be me by myself with all the kids, and then she showed up, and I was so glad she was there because otherwise it would have been crazy!!! I mean, it was anyway, but it was easier with someone else to help out. Nothing too dramatic happened though...you know, a couple dodgeballs stuck in the rafters, a broken outlet plate, and half the boys getting talked to by a pastor, but other than that, it was pretty normal.

Today, Daddy and I went out and hung out in town. We went to a couple gun stores, and the chiropractor, and then got Wienershnitzel and went to Granny and Grandad's to eat. We hung out over there for a while, and I got the cliffnotes for A Tale of Two Cities from Granny, and then we came home. It was fun though. I like getting to run around with Dad cuz I don't get to do it much anymore.
Tomorrow we're going to Annie and Hayden's for Thanksgiving. I'm so excited! I haven't seen Annie in like 2 weeks! And I haven't seen Kristine for a while either. I can't wait! And also, the food will be really good.
Oh, last night we watched Kung Fu Panda...it was HILARIOUS!!!! Although today Daddy's in such a Kung Fu Panda mood that he keeps on poking us and saying 'paralyzer', and then you have to stand still until he pokes you again and says 'unparalyzer'...haha! Anyway, it was a pretty good movie. It reminded me and Mamma and Daddy a lot of Star Wars (except Chinese, of course). Anyway, oh, we watched Alvin and the Chipmunks the other day too. It was funny too. I think I'm going to make an Alvin and the Chipmunks playlist for my sidebar, with all the music I can find of theirs. What do you think? I'll expect comments in answer to that...

And, that's it.

My 43rd Post!!!!!

I just thought I should do a special post in honor of this being my 43rd post! (Haha, yeah, actually, umm, I couldn't think of a title...I know, I'm lame) Today I was sick, so that's been lame. Umm, yeah, what started out as a cold in my throat turned into a stuffy nose and sinus headache...aahh! I absolutely HATE being sick! I was sooo upset cuz I couldn't go to church yesterday, and I probly won't get to go to ladies' study, or bible study. (Well, that's in 2 days. Maybe I can talk my mom into it by then.) And I don't get to go to Taekwondo tomorrow night. Which is lame cuz I could've sparred and stuff (and as much as I don't like sparring with all the big guys, it is good practice, I know.) Plus I had some stuff to do for my red collar test, but anyway, moving on.
I just did a bunch of English today. I had some left over from last week, and there was enough reading to go along with it to last me all day. I had to read like 10 chapters of The Prince and the Pauper. Which is a decent book, except right now I don't want to hear about the daily life of Tom Canty and Edward I....I would rather skip to the last chapter and just see what happens at the end! How childish is that? Just right now I'd rather be reading Inkspell. I have so many good books I want to read but they all have to wait for after Prince and the Pauper. Like Sense and Sensibility, North and South, A Tale of Two Cities, umm, plus I'm at the end of Wives and Daughters and the beginning of Inkspell. Anyway, I think I'll be done now.

Ainsley Funny with Video

Well, today, Ainsley and I both got our hair cut (she got her's short, but mine is the same length as it was before. I just got my bangs trimmed...I'm scared to try and do them myself like everyone else does.) Anyway, afterwards, I wanted to take a pic of Ainsy because her hair looks really cute, and we ended up dressing up, taking a bunch of pics, and some video. I just put them together with some music...here are the fruits of our labor.

And if you don't think taking pics of a 3-year-old is labor...try Ainsley sometime. She'll show you what real labor is...:)...Just kidding. Anyway, isn't she cute? She told me she couldn't dance unless she had a prince, so I told her just to pretend she had a prince and dance anyway. She's like, 'No, Caitie, I gotta have a boy.' Oh. So I said, 'Well, can you just pretend the bear is your prince?' so she said 'Ok,' and she carried the bear around the rest of the time while we were taking pictures. She eventually killed him off and made him 'borned again'. It was pretty amusing.

I thought these pics were pretty classic. They're in the video too, but I wanted to post them again, just cuz they're so cute.

Ainsley Funny #2

Ok, so it was hilarious...on Wednesday, we were rushing out of the house (late, once again...at least, we thought we were). So, in rushing out of the house, I'm calling James on my cell to let him know we're gonna be late, Paige is grabbing the baby, Bailey's grabbing the keys, Laine and Ains are getting in the car, Mom grabs her purse and we get in the car and drive off.

Well, a little ways down the road, Mamma randomly says, 'So, who has my cell phone?' I'm like 'I dunno.' And she's like, 'No, really, who has the phone?' And we're all like 'I don't know.' And so Mom was a bit upset thinking she had left her cell phone (I must be getting tired cuz I just spelled 'cell phone' like 'sell fone' like twice...) at home, when Ainsley says, 'I have it!' We're like 'You do?' and she says 'Yeah.' Well I said, 'Where is it?' because a lot of times Ains says she has something, or knows where it is, and she really is "tricking" you, (to quote her marvelous young self) and anyway, she says 'It's in my pocket'...In her pocket??? Ok, so I said 'Can I have it?' and she says, 'No, I'm sitting on it!' We were all cracking up, apparently she had grabbed it and stuck it in her back pocket on the way out of the house. It was pretty funny!

And that's not all. About 5 minutes from church, the phone starts ringing! And my mom keeps her phone set so that it vibrates and rings at the same time, so Ains starts freaking out. She's like 'It's ringing!!! Mamma it's ringing! It's in my pocket it's in my pocket it's ringing!!! I'm sitting on it!!!' It was hilarious!!! Mom forgot about her bluetooth in laughing so she had to take the call later, but anyway, it was sooo funny!!! And that's all.
Oh, wait, the other day, Ains was running around outside swinging a whiffle bat around and banging it on the cement, and randomly she said 'Oh mercy gracious! It's greater than a mouse!' I don't have a clue what she was talking about but it was funny anyway. That's really all.

Oh, wait, no actually I don't have anything else to say.
