Nothing Particular.

This week has been a ridiculously long one. It's been draining. These days are starting to wear on me. Something's gotta give somewhere or this is never going to work for the next year and a half. Really. Being too exhausted to have fun all the time is lame, and no fun at all.
This is a "vintage" squaredancing skirt!
Isn't it adorable? I love it, and the
picture, too, haha. :)

Moving on.

Probably the highlight of my week was Saturday when I went to a party, at which there was squaredancing. Of course I participated. I absolutely love squaredancing - it's like... my passion, or something. So much fun. I was so tired by the end though! We must have danced for two hours at least. But I must say it was a grand time.

Today I went to David's "jam session" at church. It was basically amazingly fun. I had a particularly good time hanging out with a particular friend. Of course Martin and Edward had a pretty good time too - I think they enjoyed getting to see one another after Edward's long period of absence. They still sound quite beauteous together, which was nice.

We've been doing haircolor at school. That's been pretty fun, I guess. School is so agonizingly overrated, though. Couldn't you just give me a DVD and I'll do it at home? Sheesh.

Next week will begin my very last year of high school. Crazy. It's wierd to think that I will never begin a new year of high school again after this year. Kind of, really exciting.

Anyways, school is tomorrow still so I shall depart for bed.

Experiment.

Lately, on Facebook, everyone has been starting these series's of photos in which they post one picture every day for a certain number of days. Some have done a month, some a year, some just for the summer. It's an interesting idea, I think. An original one. It rather makes me sad that I didn't think of it myself, haha. But I have absolutely no qualms about copying someone else's good idea - I mean, somebody had to think of it! But I think it's interesting to see the original pictures that people can come up with, one for each day, and the thoughts that they have to go along with their picture. It's an idea I'd rather like to try, personally. Just as an experiment. I think I'd post a picture and a few words on both Facebook and this blog, every day, for maybe, I don't know, say a year? I don't know if I could do it - I'm so busy always, now - but I think it would be fun. And it would motivate me to keep up with Facebook and Blogger and people - my friends. Otherwise, when I get busy, I tend to neglect everyone. And friendships never thrive well when they're not being watered. I think this might be a way to help make sure that I get on, check up on people, and keep them posted on what I'm doing, too. Because once school starts, I can almost guarantee that these rather lengthy, contemplative posts will slow to almost a complete stop. So... what do you think? Is an experiment at hand?

Review.

Today we did review. I didn't really mind. I know that if I want to get better, I have to practice, so there's no use complaining about it. I want to be able to do these things well. I don't want to be a mediocre hairdresser; I want to be a great one. And, of course, as the saying goes, "practice makes perfect!" So I practice. The day wasn't particularly exciting though.

Today I guess I did some reviewing besides what we've learned in school. Reviewing of my principles, my faith, my beliefs. Just kind of examining myself. Not in a compromising way, just a reinforcing sort of review. Remembering what it is that I believe, and why. Why I do what I do, and don't do what I don't do. I have reasons for being the way that I am, for being different, and sometimes it's good to call them to mind again, so that I don't lose sight of what I'm working towards. It was good for me, I think. I love being able to have time to just contemplate what the Lord has done for me, and how much He loves me, and how much I love Him in return.  Rolling perms is surprisingly relaxing when you can just tune out all of the gossip and focus on Jesus. :)

I guess it was a pretty good day. :)

Your Love is a Song.

I hear you breathing in.
Another day begins.
The stars are falling out.
My dreams are fading now, fading out.

I've been keeping my eyes wide open.
I've been keeping my eyes wide open.

Oh, your love is a symphony.
All around me, running through me.
Oh, your love is a melody.
Underneath me, running to me.
Oh, your love is a song.

The dawn is fire bright against the city lights.
The clouds are glowing now.
The moon is blacking out, is blacking out.

So I've been keeping my mind wide open.
I've been keeping my mind wide open, yeah.

Oh, your love is a symphony.
All around me, running to me.
Oh, your love is a melody.
Underneath me, and into me.

Oh, your love is a song.
Your love is a song.
Oh, your love is a song.
Your love is strong.

With my eyes wide open.
I've got my eyes wide open.
I've been keeping my hopes unbroken.
Yeah, yeah.

Oh, your love is a symphony.
All around me, running through me.
Oh, your love is a melody.
Underneath me, running to me.

Your love is a song.
Yeah, yeah.
Your love is my remedy.
Oh, your love is a song.

Event For the Day.

Exciting/random/awkward event for the day :

1 : Being pulled onstage by Pastor Mark in the middle of worship tonight, to compete in a jumping contest during "Jump, Shout and Sing," while wearing a dress and cowgirl boots. I won, only because my class cheers loudly, and Pastor Mark decided that since I was at such an unfair height disadvantage, that I should win because I had jumped as high as anyone my height could possibly have jumped. :)

Beach II!

I shall describe my trip to the beach shortly and explicitly by compiling a list of the most exciting, interesting, odd, random, and/or awkward things which happened to me while I was there. I have discovered that these sorts of lists tend to help me get the fun bits into my stories, and leave the boring bits out, while usually being rather funny.

So then, here we are.

Exciting/interesting/odd/random/awkward events for the day :

1 : Once again, getting accidentally horribly sunburned on (surprise!) only one side of my face. The side that's bound to get skin cancer one day from being sunburnt so severely.

2 : Making a, uhhh... "vintage" sandcastle at the beach. Vintage because it looked... old. As in like... stepped on, sort of. I guess I need to improve my sandcastle skills. I should take a sandcastle-building-class so I can become the best sand-castle-builder in the world. That might be an even more profitable profession than cosmetology!

3 : Getting honked at by two different truck drivers in two different semis while I was walking the dog on the side of the road in the middle of no-where. Can we say, awkwaaaard. Yeah. I think we can. Because it was. Haha! I almost started laughing.

Yes, today was quite an exciting/interesting/odd/random/awkward day. But it was fun! :)
